nmxptool 1.2.4, tool for Nanometrics Protocols

Usage: nmxptool -H hostname  [  -C channellist ]  -l | -L 
             Print list of the available Time Series channels
             on DataServer and NaqsServer respectively.

       nmxptool -H hostname -C channellist [...]
             Receive data in near real-time from NaqsServer by PDS 1.4

       nmxptool -H hostname -F statefile [-A SECs] [...]
             Receive data from NaqsServer and, in case, retrieve previous
             data from DataServer up to SECs seconds before.

       nmxptool -H hostname -C channellist -s DATE -e DATE [...]
       nmxptool -H hostname -C channellist -s DATE -t TIME [...]
             Receive a temporal interval of data from DataServer by DAP 1.0

       nmxptool nmxptool.d
             Launched as Earthworm module to redirect data into the EW-Rings.
             Refer to nmxptool_cmd.html into the Earthworm documentation.

       nmxptool <option ... option> [ -k  |  -K ]
             Launched as SeedLink plug-in to feed the SL-Server.

       nmxptool --help | -h
             Print this help.

Main arguments:
  -H, --hostname=HOST     NaqsServer/DataServer hostname or IP address.
  -C, --channels=LIST     List of NET.STA.CHAN separated by comma.
                          NET  is optional and used only for output.
                          STA  can be '*', it stands for all stations.
                          CHAN can contain '?', it stands for any character.
                          Network code will be assigned from the first
                          pattern that includes station and channel.
                          DO NOT USE with -F.
                                Example: N1.AAA.HH?,N2.*.HH?,MMM.BH?
                          Second pattern includes the first. Unless AAA, all
                          stations with HH channels will have network to N2.
                          Station MMM will have default network defined by -N.
  -F, --statefile=FILE    List of channel patterns, as in -C. One for each line.
                          Load/Save time of the last sample of each channel
                          into a file with the same name, same directory,
                          appending the suffix '.nmxpstate'.
                          Allow data continuity when short disconnections occur.
                          Related to -A and -f, it enables -b.
                          DO NOT USE with -C.
  -A, --maxdataretr=SECs  Max amount of data of the past to retrieve from the
                          DataServer when program restarts (default 0) [0..86400].
                          0 to disable connection to DataServer.
                          If this option is equal to zero and -F is used,
                          only data buffered by NaqsServer will be retrieved.
                          Rather than using -A, it is preferable, inside the section
                          Datastream of the file Naqs.ini, setting DataBufferLength 
                          to a high value. -A allows to retrieve much more
                          data of the past when the program restarts but it
                          considerably slows down the execution.
                          It is extremely harmful when you have many channels,
                          in this case you might consider to subdivide the
                          channels into different nmxptool instances.
                          Related to -F.

PDS arguments for NaqsServer:
  -P, --portpds=PORT      NaqsServer port number (default 28000).
  -S, --stc=SECs          Short-Term-Completion (default -1).
                          -1 is for Raw Stream, no Short-Term-Completion.
                             Packets contain compressed data. Related to -M, -T.
                             It enables --rate=-1.
                           0 decompressed packets are received in chronological
                             order without waiting for missing packets.
                          [1..300] decompressed packets are received in
                             chronological order but waiting for missing packets
                             at most SECs seconds.
  -R, --rate=Hz           Receive data with specified sample rate (default -1).
                          -1 for original sample rate and compressed data.
                           0 for original sample rate and decompressed data.
                          >0 for specified sample rate and decompressed data.
  -b, --buffered          Request also recent packets into the past.
  -B, --buffdate=DATE     Request also recent packets into the past
                          but consider only samples after DATE.
  -f, --mschan=mSECs/nC   mSECs are milliseconds to wait before the next request,
                          nC is the number of channels to request at a time.
                          Delaying and requesting few channels at a time make
                          data buffering on NaqsServer side more efficient.
                          Determined empiric values are default 280/9.
                          Condition: TotalNumberOfChannels * (mSECs/nC) < 15 sec. 
                          Related to -F and -b. 0/0 for disabling.
  -L, --listchannelsnaqs  List of the available Time Series channels on NaqsServer.
  -M, --maxlatency=SECs   Max tolerable latency (default 600) [60..600].
                          Enable NaqsServer to send out retransmission requests
                          for missed packets. Inside the section NetworkInterface
                          of the file Naqs.ini set RetxRequest to Enabled.
                          If RetxRequest is not enabled then -M is ineffective.
  -T, --timeoutrecv=SECs  Time-out for flushing queued packets of each channel.
                          It sets --mschan=0/0 (default 0, no time-out) [10..300].
                          -T is useful for retrieving Data On Demand with minimum delay.
                          -M, -T are usable only with Raw Stream, -S=-1.
                          In general, -M and -T are not used together.
                          Receiving signals interrupts the time out.

DAP arguments for DataServer:
  -D, --portdap=PORT      DataServer port number (default 28002).
  -s, --start_time=DATE   Start time in date format.
  -e, --end_time=DATE     End time in date format.
                          DATE can be in formats:
                              <date>,<time> | <date>
                          where:
                              <date> = yyyy/mm/dd | yyy.jjj
                              <time> = hh:mm:ss | hh:mm:ss.dddd | hh:mm
  -t, --interval=TIME     Time interval from start_time (greater than zero).
                          TIME is in seconds, otherwise append 'm' for minutes
                          'h' for hours or 'd' for days. [1 sec .. 31 days]
                          DO NOT USE with -e.
  -d, --delay=TIME        Receive continuosly data with delay [60 sec .. 31 days].
  -u, --username=USER     DataServer username.
  -p, --password=PASS     DataServer password.
  -l, --listchannels      List of the available Time Series channels on DataServer.
  -i, --channelinfo       Print channelinfo (network name) when using -l.

Other arguments:
  -N, --network=NET       Default output Network code. (default 'XX').
  -n, --location=LOC      Default output Location code. DISABLED!
  -v, --verbose=LEVEL     Be verbose. LEVEL is a bitmap:
                          1 Channel State, 2 Channel, 4 Raw Stream,
                          8 CRC32, 16 Connection flow,
                          32 Packet Management, 64 Extra, 128 Date,
                          256 Gap, 512 DOD, 1023 All messages.
  -g, --logdata           Print info about packet data.
  -G, --logsample         Print sample values of packets. Includes -g.
  -m, --writeseed=[TYPE]  Pack received data in Mini-SEED records and
                          store them within a SDS or BUD structure.
                          TYPE can be 's' or 'b' (-ms or -mb)
                          Packets are appended to existing files. Related to -o.
  -o, --outdirseed=DIR    Output directory for SDS or BUD structure.
                          Related to -m (default is current directory).
  -w, --writefile         Dump received packets to a file.
  -k, --slink=PLUGINID    Send received data to SeedLink as a plug-in.
                          Data are sent by send_raw_depoch().
                          This option, inside the file seedlink.ini, must be
                          the last without adding value for PLUGINID!
                          PLUGINID is set by SeisComP daemon.
                          Not usable together with -K.
  -K, --slinkms=PLUGINID  Send received data to SeedLink as a plug-in.
                          This option is similar to previous -k,
                          using -K the program converts data into mini-SEED
                          records and sends them by the function send_mseed()
                          instead of send_raw_depoch().
                          Not usable together with -k.
  -Q, --timing_quality=TQ This value is used for the functions send_raw*().
                          TQ is -1 or in [0..100] (default -1).
  -E, --testport=PORT     Accept 'telnet' connection on PORT
                          for data testing and diagnostic purposes.
  -V, --version           Print tool version.
  -h, --help              Print this help.

Signal handling:
   INT QUIT TERM          Sending these signals to nmxptool causes it
                          to immediately attempt to gracefully terminate.
                          It may take several seconds to complete exiting.
   ALRM                   Print current info about Raw Stream buffer.
   HUP PIPE               Ignored. (SIG_IGN)
